LAURA LOWENKRON<\/h4>

She is an anthropologist, associate professor at the Institute of Social Medicine of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (IMS\/UERJ), executive coordinator of the Latin American Center on Sexuality and Human Rights (CLAM), and a researcher with the Transnational Research Network on Dispossessed, Violated, and Abused Motherhoods (REMA\/CNPq\/Pr\u00f3-Humanidades). She holds a Master’s degree (2008) and a PhD (2012) in Social Anthropology from the National Museum\/UFRJ and completed her postdoctoral studies at the Gender Studies Center PAGU, at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). Her work focuses on the fields of gender and sexuality studies and the Anthropology of the State, with experience in ethnographies of institutions and documents based on research on the following topics: sexual violence, governance of childhood, pedophilia, human trafficking, care, motherhoods, and sexual and reproductive rights.<\/p>
