Holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from the National Museum, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (PPGAS\/MN\/UFRJ). He is affiliated as an associate researcher at the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al, the Contemporary Family Studies Group (GREFAC\/UERJ), and the Latin American Center on Sexuality and Human Rights (CLAM\/IMS\/UERJ). He is editor of the journal <em data-start=\"579\" data-end=\"609\">Sexualidad, Salud y Sociedad<\/em>. His research focuses on the anthropology of health, the body, emotions, the state, and public policies, with particular attention to the following themes: HIV\/AIDS, drug policies, activism, intersectionalities, and moralities.
