The Institute of Social Medicine (IMS) at UERJ will host the lecture \u201cOrdem executiva 14168 de Trump: g\u00eanero, \u2018bom senso\u2019 e pol\u00edtica\u201d, with renowned historian of science Ilana L\u00f6wy, in November. The event, organized by CLAM, will take place on the 24th, at 10:30 AM, in the IMS Auditorium (6th floor, block E).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ilana L\u00f6wy, a researcher at CERMES 3 in Paris and associated with the Casa de Oswaldo Cruz (COC\/Fiocruz), will address a topic of high political and social relevance: Donald Trump’s Executive Order (EO) 14168, issued on the first day of his presidency, entitled “Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lecture will delve into the foundations of this “war against gender theory and transgender people,” especially transgender women, which underpins the executive order. Professor Ilana L\u00f6wy will analyze the long-range repercussions of EO 14168, including those outside the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
