Professor Ueslei Solaterrar (CLAM\/IMS\/UERJ) delivered the lecture “Racism and Health: An Amefricana Perspective” on November 14th, at the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at King’s College in London, England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference was based on his doctoral research on mental health care, psychiatric reform, and racism, developed by Solaterrar within the IMS Collective Health Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At King’s College, Solaterrar was received by professors Dr. Tanisha Spratt, Dr. Cristian Montenegro, and doctoral researchers Delia Da Mosto and Giovanne Paulino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solaterrar also discussed future partnerships between the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine and the Institute of Social Medicine at UERJ (IMS\/UERJ), considering the development of projects on racism and health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
