He holds a degree in Sociocultural Anthropology-Universidad Nacional de Rosario (1992), a Masters in Anthropology from New York University (1994) and a PhD in Social Anthropology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2007). He was a postdoctoral fellow in Collective Health at the Institute of Social Medicine of the State University of Rio de Janeiro, from 2009 to 2014. He is currently a researcher and coordinator of the Latin American Center on Sexuality and Human Rights (CLAM \/ IMS \/ UERJ).
