Em conson\u00e2ncia com esta movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o social e pol\u00edtica a academia tamb\u00e9m vem contribuindo para promover uma visibilidade mais positiva sobre as homossexualidades e as diferen\u00e7as de g\u00eanero. A produ\u00e7\u00e3o de um n\u00famero consider\u00e1vel de pesquisadores sobre o tema da diversidade sexual terminou por propor um acervo de teorias, metodologias e an\u00e1lises que puderam orientar pol\u00edticas e a\u00e7\u00f5es progressistas, refor\u00e7ando a solidariedade com as popula\u00e7\u00f5es LGBT na sua busca por justi\u00e7a social.<BR>  <P>O trabalho de Nadia Meinerz inscreve-se neste anseio. Com rigor te\u00f3rico e metodol\u00f3gico e o vigor de sua paix\u00e3o pelo tema pesquisado, Nadia registra e analisa, atrav\u00e9s da pesquisa etnogr\u00e1fica, o cotidiano de uma rede de mulheres l\u00e9sbicas na cidade de Porto Alegre no in\u00edcio da d\u00e9cada de 2000. Em sua pesquisa, observa como estas mulheres se relacionam entre si, como constroem suas identidades sociais e sexuais e como atualizam e negociam valores e representa\u00e7\u00f5es sociais e pol\u00edticas relacionados \u00e0 homossexualidade feminina.<BR>  <P>Originalmente concebido como uma disserta\u00e7\u00e3o de mestrado, seu trabalho interessa tanto a estudantes e pesquisadores, quanto a leitores fora do mundo acad\u00eamico, por analisar como um determinado segmento de mulheres se posiciona frente \u00e0s novas visibilidades propostas pelos movimentos LGBT e \u00e0s representa\u00e7\u00f5es sociais sobre as homossexualidades tradicionalmente mais disseminadas na sociedade brasileira.
