For over 10 years, Tactical Technology Collective and partner organizations have worked with human rights defenders, in order to help them to better protect their sensitive data, their communications, themselves and their communities when carrying out their work, through developing online resources, books, and carrying out regular trainings around the world. As part of this process, they have developed the "Security in a Box" book and toolkit.
However, in order to continue improving their materials and make digital security easier to understand and tailor them for specific communities of human rights defenders, they have started a research project focused on LGBTI communities. Their aim is to receive as many responses, and from as many regions of the world as possible, in order to decipher what are their digital security needs around the world.
