State of the Art. Research on Sexuality and Sexual Rights in Chile (1990-2002)
The book State of the Art. Investigación sobre Sexualidad y Derechos Sexuales en Chile (1990-2002) records a decade of theoretical and empirical orientations of the social sciences, humanities, cultural studies and investigations from the biomedical sciences in that country. The document forms part of a CLAM initiative, carried out in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, which plans a critical review of studies on sexuality and sexual rights in the region. Teresa Valdés and Gabriel Guajardo were responsible for organizing this important bibliographic material and carrying out a balance of the field, from which, according to Valdés, the lack of communication between communities and researchers at the time of defining their studies was verified.
