The publication brings together works presented during a seminar held in Recife, in 2003, in a partnership between CLAM and SOS Corpo – Feminist Institute for Democracy. The title of the seminar and book – Novas Legalidades – is, in the words of anthropologist Sérgio Carrara and psychologist Anna Paula Uziel, who sign the presentation of the work, purposely provocative, since the publication privileges, within a possible range of themes, subjects such as abortion and same-sex civil partnerships.
