Religion and sexuality: convictions and responsibilities
Religion and sexuality: convictions and responsibilities (CLAM / Editora Garamond) organized by Emerson Giumbelli, 2005. The book shows how different religions deal with the issue of sexuality in contemporary society and how important flags of the struggle for sexual rights, such as civil unions between people of the same sex and the right to abortion, are contemplated by certain religious beliefs. The collection also questions the limits of religious interference in the public and political spheres with regard to the exercise of sexuality and the achievement of sexual rights. The publication reproduces presentations and debates that were presented at a seminar held by CLAM and the Institute of Religious Studies (ISER) in October 2003.
