Sexuality and sexual behavior in Brazil: data and research

This publication is the result of the work carried out by the Latin American Center for Sexuality and Human Rights (CLAM) at the Instituto de Medicina Social/UERJ. contributing to reducing gender inequalities and strengthening the fight against discrimination against sexual minorities in Latin America. Throughout 2003 and 2004, the Center coordinated the production of a series of diagnoses and mappings. Sexuality and sexual behavior in Brazil: data and research is the fourth, among the documents produced, to be released to a wider audience, It presents a mapping of Brazilian research on sexual and gender violence, sexual and reproductive health and STD/AIDS, pointing out and analyzing certain methodological trends and existing gaps in these three fields.
