On December 6, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, the event “Red December: HIV/AIDS Prevention and Care at IFF/Fiocruz” will take place. The morning session will feature presentations of research conducted by students and alumni of the Graduate Program in Child and Women’s Health at the Fernandes Figueira Institute, National Institute of Women, Child, and Adolescent Health (PPGSCM). The session will be chaired by researcher Ivia Maksud. Presenters Luciana Miranda, Mariana Darmont, Tayná Silva, Kátia Ovídia, Rafael Agostini, and Salvador Campos will share research findings addressing populations living with HIV in various contexts. Researchers Mônica Franch and Claudia Mora (CLAM/IMS/UERJ) will discuss the presented works.
In the afternoon, a “Video and Experience Sharing Session” will take place, aiming to bring together academics and activists to showcase diverse materials (videos and informative prophylactic campaigns) on health, prevention, harm reduction, and related topics. This roundtable discussion will be coordinated by researcher Martha Moreira. Presenters Ivia Maksud, Sandra Filgueiras, Juan Carlos Raxach, Carla Pereira, Ana Luiza Ferreira, Luciana Kamel, and Mônica Franch will share the mentioned materials, with researcher Fátima Rocha acting as a discussant.
