Ueslei Solaterrar (CLAM/IMS/UERJ) participates in academic activities on racism and health at King’s College, in London

Professor Ueslei Solaterrar (CLAM/IMS/UERJ) delivered the lecture “Racism and Health: An Amefricana Perspective” on November 14th, at the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at King’s College in London, England.

The conference was based on his doctoral research on mental health care, psychiatric reform, and racism, developed by Solaterrar within the IMS Collective Health Program.

At King’s College, Solaterrar was received by professors Dr. Tanisha Spratt, Dr. Cristian Montenegro, and doctoral researchers Delia Da Mosto and Giovanne Paulino.

Solaterrar also discussed future partnerships between the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine and the Institute of Social Medicine at UERJ (IMS/UERJ), considering the development of projects on racism and health.
