Vanessa Herdy
Graduated in Psychology from the Federal University of Fluminense (Universidade Federal Fluminense – UFF). Specialist in Mental Health from the Institute of Psychiatry at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ). Master’s and PhD candidate in Collective Health from the Institute of Social Medicine at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro – UERJ), in the area of Health Humanities. Worked as a psychologist in Primary Care and in the Psychosocial Care Network (Rede de Atenção Psicossocial) in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro. Currently develops research and training projects at the interface between gender, care, and public policies in the field of mental health. She is a member of the research and training project “Caring for the caregiver: teaching, knowledge, and action” (“Cuidando de quem cuida: ensino, conhecimento e ação”), at the Joaquim Venâncio Polytechnic School of Health (Escola Politécnica de Saúde Joaquim Venâncio)/Fiocruz.
