Lucas Tramontano de Macêdo

Lucas Tramontano de Macedo holds a degree in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2009), a master’s degree (2012) and a doctorate (2017) in Collective Health from the Institute of Social Medicine of the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (IMS-UERJ) within Human Sciences and Health and post doctorate in the Post-Graduate Program in Information Science at the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (IBICT-UFRJ). He was Substitute Professor at the Institute of Studies in Collective Health at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Iesc-UFRJ). He is a researcher in gender studies, sexuality, and science and focuses on the production of contemporary masculinities, processes of medicalization and pharmacologization, technologies of gender production, body modifications and sex hormones. Currently, he works as a postdoctoral fellow at the INOVA Fiocruz Program, at the Fernandes Figueira Institute (IFF-FIOCRUZ).
