Georgia Pereira is a doctoral student at the Postgraduate Program in Collective Health at the Institute of Social Medicine/UERJ with research in contraceptive technologies for men and men’s health (where she is a popular educator within the communal pre-university exam projects). She holds a degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2012), with a 12-month period spent at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (2010). She is a specialist in Gender and Sexuality within the Latin American Center on Sexuality and Human Rights, Institute of Social Medicine/UERJ (2014), and holds a Master’s degree from the Postgraduate Program in Collective Health of the Institute of Social Medicine/UERJ (2017), with a dissertation on the development of male contraceptives and the configuration of masculinities based on the work of the NGO Male Contraception Initiative.
