Horacio Federico Sívori

HORACIO SÍVORI

Associate Professor at the Institute of Social Medicine at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, in the Department of Health Policies and Institutions. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociocultural Anthropology from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (1992), a Master’s degree in Anthropology from New York University (1994), and a PhD in Social Anthropology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2007). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Public Health at the Institute of Social Medicine, State University of Rio de Janeiro, from 2009 to 2014. He is a researcher and member of the executive committee of the Latin American Center on Sexuality and Human Rights (CLAM/IMS/UERJ). His research focuses on sexuality and politics, social movements, conservatism, gender, violence and politics, political engagement on social media, scholarly knowledge, and legal activism.
